1. Click Start / Run Type regedit and
2. Open Registry Editor (regedit).
3. Navigate to the following registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Administrator Only\Security\
4. Change the value for useVPuninstallpassword key from 1 to 0.
5. Exit Registry Editor
6. Uninstall  Symantec AntiVirus Client.
